Freshman Wan’Dale Robinson has been named this week’s Big Ten Freshman of the Week. This is the second time he has been given the title in three weeks.
The wide receiver was previously recognized for his performance in the game against Illinois, in which the Huskers won 42-38, and Robinson contributed 186 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.
This second announcement follows last weekend’s game against Northwestern where he also was responsible for one touchdown and 167 yards of offense.
Robinson is one of the few true freshman who has played in every game this season, and he has developed a reputation as a playmaker. During Saturday’s game, he had a long 42-yard touchdown run, and it was his big catch late in the game that put the Huskers in range for their game-winning field goal.
