The Nebraska volleyball team earned the seventh seed in the 2018 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
As one of the top 16 seeds in the 64-team field, the Huskers will host first and second round matches of the tourney.
The Huskers’ first round opponent is Hofstra of the Colonial Athletic Association. The Pride finished 25-7 in the regular season. Hofstra enters the tournament on a nine-match win streak.
The Pride’s latest victory came against James Madison. The five-set win gave Hofstra the CAA tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
The Arizona Wildcats of the PAC 12 and Missouri Tigers of the SEC will also make the trip to Lincoln for the first and second rounds of the tournament.
The Huskers won their last eight matches of the regular season and enter the postseason at 24-6. Nebraska’s first round matchup against Hofstra will be on Friday, Nov. 30 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The match will start at 7 p.m.
