Sophomore outside hitter and Texas native Capri Davis is transferring to the University of Texas next semester to continue her collegiate volleyball career, Longhorns head coach Jerritt Elliott announced Monday.
Davis had a limited role in the 2019 season, playing just nine matches and missing six due to illness. On Oct. 23, Nebraska volleyball announced she was taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team.
The sophomore had a season-high of 10 kills against Creighton and had 38 kills in 2019. Although Davis was not a main rotation piece, she was a key player.
After her limited play, Davis returns back to Texas as the first player to depart from the 2019 team.
