Cody Glenn update

Though he suited up and warmed up for Nebraska's game against Troy on Saturday, sophomore I-back Cody Glenn did not play because of a tweaked hamstring. His status on Tuesday was still unknown, as he did not see the field at practice.

"We're going to find out today," NU Coach Bill Callahan said. "Seemingly he was a little bit better over the weekend, and we'll find out today where he's at."

Kurt Mann out

Starting center Kurt Mann has still not been cleared to come back. Callahan said the most important thing for the senior would be boosting his strength when he is able to return to the field after a bout of mononucleosis.

"This week he'll be out, but he's back with the team," Callahan said. "Some days he feels good and some days he feels not as good, so it's day-to-day with him. I think the main thing is just getting his strength back to the level it was at before he got ill."

New plays introduced

While Tuesday was a normal practice, on Monday new base runs and new base blitz packages were introduced. NU Offensive Coordinator Jay Norvell said Wednesday's practice would focus on more third down work.
