Husker men's gymnastics team finished third in the NCAA Championships

The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team finished third at the NCAA Championships this weekend, posting a team score of 407.489.

As a team, the Huskers posted season highs on the still rings and floor exercise.

Senior Anton Stephenson finished third on vault with a score of 14.866. He also posted a season-high 14.033 on the still rings. He scored a 13 or better in two other events.

Freshman Khalil Jackson finished seventh on the high bar with a score of 13.833. Three other Huskers recorded top-eight finishes — junior Jake Bonnay on the floor exercise, sophomore Josh Martin on the pommel horse and freshman Charlie Giles on vault.  

A pair of Husker women gymnasts, senior Sienna Crouse and junior Taylor Houchin, also competed at the NCAA Championships as individuals.

Crouse finished her collegiate career with a seventh-place finish in the all-around competition. She finished with a score of 39.3875 and scored a 9.85 or higher in three of four events.

Houchin competed on vault, where she finished 27th with a score of 9.7125.
