Game week
On Saturday, Nebraska's football team wrapped up its final practice before fall classes with an hour-and-a-half workout at Memorial Stadium.
Husker Coach Bo Pelini said even though the Cornhuskers enter in-season preparation for Western Michigan on Monday, he still considers the days leading up to the opener part of fall practices.
"It was not a real long one," Pelini said of the practice. "It was kind of like a normal Monday of game week. We followed up on our Western Michigan prep. We're getting ready to go."
Pelini added that he planned to give players time off during the rest of the weekend to "get their legs back underneath them" and get their school affairs in order.

Pelini said offensive coordinator Shawn Watson would call plays from the coaches' skybox against Western Michigan on Saturday.
Watson said during fall camp that he would prefer calling plays from the box, but he wanted to weigh the pros and cons before making a final decision.
A 1-2 kick
Nebraska's kicking tandem will "probably" work as it did last season, Pelini said.
That means sophomores Adi Kunalic and Alex Henery will see most - if not all - of the playing time, with Kunalic filling kickoff duties and Henery kicking field goals and extra points.
Henery said he's happy doing whatever the coaches ask, adding that his ongoing competition with Kunalic is always a "friendly" one.
Henery also said it helps that both players see some field time. He added that it doesn't faze him that fans are generally more impressed with his counterpart's leg.
"I've proven that I can kick just as far - 62, 63 yards in spring ball," Henery said. "People can think what they want. I'll just go out and make what I can."
A good fall
Pelini said the best thing about fall camp - his first as a head coach - is that it went smoothly. He continues to gain confidence in his group as well, he said.
"We got a lot of work done. We got a lot accomplished," Pelini said. "We still got a lot of work to do, a long way to go. But the attitude's been good - commitment's been good - and that's a good thing."
