The long trip to San Antonio, Texas for the Big 12 Tournament was a short stay for the Cornhusker soccer team.

Fourth-seeded NU fell to Oklahoma State, the No. 5 seed and defending Big 12 champion, 3-0. The Cowgirls won their sixth straight game to avenge a 2-0 shutout in Lincoln last month.

The Cowgirls got on the board early, scoring their first goal in the 11th minute. OSU added another before halftime to take a 2-0 lead into the break. A late goal was nothing more than insurance for the Cowgirls.

Missing in action for NU was freshman forward Morgan Marlborough. The Big 12 Rookie and Offensive Player of the Year was sick and didn't leave the hotel for the loss.

Senior forward Shay Powell had two near-goals, and her five shots helped the Huskers outshoot OSU 14-10.

The Huskers, who fell to 11-5-4 overall and 5-4-2 in conference play, will find out if they earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament Monday afternoon.
