Sophomore outside hitter Sami Slaughter will transfer away from the Nebraska volleyball program, head coach John Cook confirmed Wednesday.
Slaughter will transfer to her home state of South Dakota to play for the University of South Dakota.
Slaughter played in 10 matches this season, totalling 25 kills and 11 assists as the Huskers reached their third Final Four appearance in four years.
Slaughter was the 2016 South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year, where she led Harrisburg High School to a state title.
“We appreciate all that Sami has done for our program the last two years and hope she has a great finish to her collegiate career at South Dakota,” Cook said in a press release.
