Redshirt freshman safety Isaiah Stalbird announced on Monday that he will be entering the transfer portal and leaving the Nebraska football team.
A walk-on from Kearney, Nebraska, Stalbird appeared in all 12 of Nebraska’s games and was one of the team’s most consistent special teams players. He made 13 tackles, including a team-high 10 on special teams. Stalbird’s best game of the season came against Northern Illinois, when he forced a fumble on a punt attempt and blocked another punt later in the game.
Stalbird was a member of the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team and the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in both of his years at Nebraska.
