Head football coach Scott Frost, new men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg and athletic director Bill Moos will visit flood-affected areas in Nebraska through an event known as the Big Red Blitz.
On Thursday, May 30, Frost, Hoiberg, Moos and other coaches will travel to Norfolk, Fremont and the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum. They will stop at each area for about 90 minutes and speak to fans.
Frost, Hoiberg and Moos will arrive at the Divots Conference Center in Norfolk at 12:30 p.m. and then speak at the Christensen Field Arena in Fremont at 3:30 p.m. Both of these events are free and open to 800 people. The three will then arrive at the SAC Museum at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for this event are $20, and the space has a capacity for 1000 people.
“In Nebraska our greatest resource is our people. That has never been more evident than citizens and communities coming together with great resilience after the devastating March floods,” Moos said in a press release. “We hope our Nebraska coaches and staff heading out to parts of the state that were affected will help play a small part in the continued healing and recovery.”
