Nebraska football’s wide receivers group got deeper Friday afternoon as it landed a commitment from four-star JUCO wide receiver Omar Manning.

Manning is currently a sophomore at Kilgore Junior College and had 35 catches for 727 yards and six touchdowns in the 2019 season, along with one rushing touchdown. His efforts were recognized as he earned second-team All-American honors.
Manning is the top JUCO wide receiver in the class of 2020 and the No. 2 overall JUCO prospect in 2020, according to 247sports. He also held offers from Texas A&M and Oregon, among others.
This commitment is huge for a Husker team in need of depth at the receiver position. At 6-foot-4, he will come in as the second tallest receiver on the team behind junior Ty Chaffin. Manning will likely be an immediate contributor for Nebraska upon the start of the 2020 season.
