Donde Plowman, the current executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is leaving to be the chancellor at the University of Tennessee, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
The University of Tennessee-Knoxville announced its decision Friday, which the Board of Trustees will vote to confirm on May 3.
Plowman has previous experience with the University of Tennessee, as she headed the management department before being hired at UNL.
Plowman’s tenure at UNL includes six years as the dean of the College of Business until 2017. She then transitioned into the role of executive vice chancellor, which she has held ever since.
She has her doctorate in Strategic Management from the University of Texas and her a bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Methodist University.
