Editor's Note: The Daily Nebraskan caught up with Matt Slauson, the only senior offensive lineman for the Nebraska Cornhuskers' football team who is known for his tattoos, face paint and the cowboy hat he sometimes wears during post-game interviews.

DN: If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why?

MS: I would be a Redwood because I'm majestic and gigantic.

DN: You put a lot of face paint on before a game - do you think that instills fear in your opponents?

MS: Not one bit. I think they just laugh at me. But it doesn't matter, I do it for me. They probably think I look like an idiot but I don't care because they're going to end up on their back either way.

DN: Boxers or briefs?

MS: Boxer-briefs.

DN: Do you like pancake blocks, pancakes or waffles?

MS: How about a pancake block onto a waffle?

DN: Ever get scared of Coach Pelini?

MS: No I don't. I think he's a really easy guy to get along with.

DN: How do you think Coach Pelini would hold up in a fight?

MS: Oh, he would crush anyone. It doesn't matter who it is.
