Move over winter, say hello to spring. It's time to pack up your winter wardrobe and welcome the latest looks and fashionable springtime trends. Modernize your attire with these trendy tips.

Retire your dirty worn out flip-flops and put on Grecian sandals. Kick off your boots and slip into colorful wedges or espadrilles.

Find yourself some skinny jeans or high-waisted, wide-leg trousers; those are the hip and happening pants now. Tattered, flared jeans are a thing of the past. Furthermore, pencil skirts are a classic, but full, voluminous skirts are on the fashion front.

To kick things up another notch, cinch your waist with skinny belts, and ditch thick, weighty belts around your hips. Another way to work this season's fashion is to update your simple summer dresses with a tailored denim vest.

When thinking along the lines of a complete look, gear your mind toward tribal prints, Grecian draping, safari escapes and nature. If you're putting together a themed outfit, make sure you don't go overboard. Mix one or two trendy pieces with classic, more subdued items for visual interest. This will prevent you from turning a stylish ensemble into a costume.

For example, if you're attempting to rock a sweet pair of gladiator sandals, don't wear them with a draped dress. You'll look like you walked straight out of ancient Rome. Instead, try wearing them with jeans and a classic top.

Bright bursts of color are also a great way to drag your dreary winter look into spring. Saturated yellows, grassy greens, royal blues and peachy pinks will wake up your mood and your mind-set. You can introduce these bold hues in the form of shoes and accessories.

Daring duds and chunky jewelry are perfect for making fashion forward statements. Colorful beads, giant jewels and oversized rings go well with simple and sophisticated outfits. At the opposite end of the spectrum, a dainty metallic necklace would work better with a busier ensemble.

If you aren't prepared to revamp your current look to suit this season, work with what you've got. You can't go wrong with timeless pieces, bright colors or modern garments that are figure flattering.

However, if you are a trendy chick, you have a lot to get excited about. There are endless possibilities to spice up your springtime attire. Let the warm weather and an energetic disposition inspire you to kick out your cold-weather clothes and jump in to this season's fresh and flirty looks.
