A couple weeks ago, Ward Connerly came to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to speak out against affirmative action. Interestingly enough, however, he didn't find himself preaching to the choir. Most of the attendees were staunchly in opposition to Connerly's position, and their various paraphernalia combined with verbal criticism made that quite clear. (4) comments

A recent Youtube entry plays audio of Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern making a speech to 50 or so conservative constituents on March 8. Read some excerpts from Kern's diatribe. "Studies show, no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted for more than, you know, a few decades. (16) comments

When we send senators to Washington, D.C., we send them to make our state better by the most efficient means possible. Often, they fail at this. The short-term solution is Washington has been the ongoing use of "pork-barrel spending" - sending money home for pet projects - for decades. (0) comments
