Christensen's arraignment rescheduled for Thursday
Andy Christensen's arraignment has been moved to Thursday. The NU offensive lineman has been suspended from the football team indefinitely, according to a statement by coach Bo Pelini. Christensen was arrested on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a UNL student at the Brass Rail.
Spring break survival kits available from Health Center
The University Health Center will continue distributing spring break survival kits today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the building's main lobby. The kits consist of a water bottle stuffed with a toothbrush and paste, band-aids, ibuprofen, antacids, a condom, an antiseptic towelette and health tips.
Women's week luncheon
A lunch with Kathyne Jackson will be at the Nebraska Union at 11:30 a.m. Jackson is the author of "Dear Diary: What my doctor never told me about liposuction." She will talk about her experience undergoing cosmetic surgery. Also for women's week, Pamela Hill will give a speech titled "Black Women and Revolutionary Leadership." Hill is an Afrocentric educator, lecturer and writer.
Great Plains Lecture to be held in Hardin Hall
Lectures on Thursday include a laboratory safety colloquium at the East Campus Union from 11 a.m. to noon. A Great Plains Studies seminar titled "Taking the Court Public" from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Great Plains Art Museum and a water center seminar on weather and society from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Hardin Hall are set. There will also be a biotechnology/life sciences seminar from 4 to 5 p.m. by Isabella Novella from the Medical University of Ohio. Her lecture is titled "Virus survival: Fitness is just the beginning."
