There are people in society toward whom no one shows any sympathy. Often this is horribly unfair. The poor kids on playgrounds, for example, have always served as perennial targets for their wealthier counterparts. Same with the awkward, pimply, too-tall freak in middle school with moppy blond hair, whose only crime was hitting puberty too soon. (2) comments

I asked a group of friends not long ago, "Have any of you seen the design for the new Multicultural Center?" "Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that a building supposed to value diversity looks like every other building on campus?" I asked. My friend Kyle laughed at me. (0) comments

Last Thursday, the Nebraska Legislature's Judiciary Committee killed LB963, which would have forbidden state agencies from giving undocumented immigrants state services and benefits. In doing so they demonstrated sound judgment, foresight and a deep understanding of the economic future of Nebraska. (0) comments

Thanks for making elections for ASUN meaningful to all involved For the first time in a number of years, we actually have a choice in who we vote for. I applaud all those who are willing to put themselves forward and thank them for making this year's campaign worthwhile to follow. (1) comment
