Pat,
Football is a way of life here in nebraska. Volleyball was amazing a few years ago. They have gone down just a bit. Dont hate on football just because they are one page ahead of you. Its just the way its going to be.

The photographer and the writers didn't travel with the team. I'm sure the guy who posted this is just saying the DN traveled to Mizzou just as the team did. The athletic department doesn't permit members of the media to travel with the team.

As sports editor of the DN many years ago, my husband was told by the Dean of J-School that he was NOT to travel "with" the team to the game, but to go on his own.

Nice...
The football team gets some recognition for a good job and all you can post is why not us? Boohoo.
Yay for the football team. Yay for volleyball. Yay frickin yay for all sports. Second page is where it should be. The sport is simply not as popular as football.
I love the volleyball team and think that Coach Cook has done an incredible job.

Why is it we can post pics of Football and important games, but we never post pics of Volleyball which is now self-supporting? I realize football brings in much more money, but we have very talented athletes in VB that spend as much time practicing, and a 5-set game can last as long as a football game!! That means these girls have to have alot of stamina also! Once again the Men get the glory and the Women get the second page !!! Think on it please!!
