Entering day four of the Big Ten Tournament, Nebraska had to only win one out of two games against Michigan in order to advance to Sunday's final. Game one was all Michigan from the start with the Wolverines scoring seven runs in the first inning and never looking back, routing the Huskers 18-8. Five hours later Nebraska faced Michigan, with the winner going to the finals. Nebraska pitching faired much better than earlier in the day having only allowed three runs off of six hits through the entire game. With a strong pitching performance Nebraska was able to stop the Wolverines momentum with a 7-3 win and punch their ticket to the Big Ten Tournament finals at TD Ameritrade Park on Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Omaha, Nebraska.
