Hello and welcome to the Daily Nebraskan's live blog of Saturday's Bubble Action. My name is Mike Schaefer and I'll be updating the basketball happenings around the country and how it shapes the bubble picture. 12:30- Butler is taking it to Davidson right now. The Bulldogs are up 55-42 with 12 minutes left in the second half. Butler's defense has been stiffling. The Bulldogs have nine steals and have forced 15 turnovers. Davidson needs to rally right now to get back in it but Stephen Curry has had a defender or two in his face all game. Kentucky and Tennessee have started and the Wildcats jumped out to 13-0 lead in the game's first nine minutes. Notre Dame has a 12-point lead on the Friars with 10 minutes left...Weekend Preview

There are a lot of games affecting bubble teams this weekend. Here are the big ones to watch: Oklahoma State vs. Baylor- One of many elimination games this weekend. OSU has great computer numbers but the Cowboys lack quality wins. A loss here drops OSU out of tournament contention. Baylor put together a solid non-conference resume with wins over Arizona State and fellow bubble team Providence. Baylor has to win out to stay on the bubble. Baylor beat OSU last month 98-92 in OT. Tennessee vs. Kentucky- Neither of these teams deserve to make the NCAA Tournament but it is a down year. The Wildcats beat Tennessee the last time these teams met behind 54 points from Jodie Meeks. If the 'Cats win today they'll help shore up the resume in a week conference. Tennessee needs a win coming off a 16...Mid-week Report

Nebraska's 46-41 win over Colorado wasn't pretty but the Cornhuskers aren't looking for style points. The win puts the squad in a virtual three-way tie with Texas and Kansas State for fourth place in the Big 12Conference. Elsewhere on the bubble, Oklahoma State staved off a late comeback by Texas Tech to keep the Cowboys slim hopes alive. They'll have to navigate a tough schedule to earn an at-large bid despite unfathomable computer love in the RPI ratings. Kansas State won a late non-conference game against North Carolina Central University. The Huskers received a lot of help nationally as fellow bubble teams Notre Dame, Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Providence and UNLV all lost. In Joe Lunardi's Bracketology, he had both Miami and Providence as in the tournament before...OU over Baylor knocks out one contender

Baylor's 78-63 loss to Oklahoma Wednesday night all but eliminates them from the postseason. The Bears have now lost six in a row and would have to win out just to finish 9-7. The only thing better for Nebraska at this point would be for Baylor to reverse their fortunes against Texas A&M on Saturday, effectively trimming the list of NCAA Tourney hopefuls in the Big 12 Conference to seven. The bad news for the Huskers is Kansas State's blowout win over Texas Tech. KSU now has six wins after an 0-4 start to conference and took a half-game lead over Nebraska and Texas for fourth place in the conference standings. If you're Nebraska at this point, you probably cheer for Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri to hammer every team that comes across their path. Oklahoma State is still vying for a...
