For the last couple of years we've been told to "go green," "save the Earth" and not leave a "carbon footprint." Why are we subjected to this from information that has no factual background?

Global warming is a hot button today in the news and topics discussed, but here is a shocker for you all: global warming is fake.

Al Gore is a leader in misinformation about global warming, and the release of his film "An Inconvenient Truth" was the height of the global warming scare.

Last October, the United Kingdom made a judgment on whether climate change should be taught in school as real science. A teacher was going to show "An Inconvenient Truth" in class. One parent opposed, saying he didn't want his daughter to believe in global warming when he believed there was no factual evidence of it. He sued the school, and the trial judge found 11 errors in the film.

One error they found was that the melting snow on Mount Kilimanjaro was not necessarily caused by global warming but could be attributed to a number of other factors. Another major point in the film was that polar bears were drowning from swimming to find ice, but the bears discussed in this part of the movie had actually drowned from a violent storm.

The film also made the non-factual argument that the Gulf Stream to Europe will stop and cause an ice age, but the judge found that to be an impossible. Melting ice will cause sea levels to rise, but if the Greenland ice sheets were to melt, then it would take over 100 years to disperse into the sea - not in the near future, as Al Gore said.

It is true that the Earth's temperature has increased over the last hundred years by about .74 degrees Celsius. However, it is normal for the Earth's temperature to rise between glacial periods.

The media doesn't tell you this. The media just tells you polar bears are becoming cannibals, hedgehogs are losing their spines and hornets are living longer. This is the same media that suggested global warming in 1935 and portrayed a global cooling scare in the 1924 and 1975. So in the last 80 years, the Earth has gotten cooler, then warmer, then cooler and finally warmer.

Isn't that just what we like to call climate?
